A Personal Message from Campus Executive Director

NORTH GRENVILLE, ON – Having been in my role for five weeks, I’m pleased to share that the Campus has a new point of contact for our tenants, community members, and partners! Melissa Lemay joined the team as Campus Coordinator on Feb. 22. Melissa steps into the vacancy left by Cheryl deVries, who retired from her role in December.

Melissa LemayMelissa Lemay, Campus Coordinator We are fortunate that Melissa lives right here in Kemptville with her family, so she knows the community well! She's fully bilingual and has almost 20 years of experience in administrative and operational roles, including seven years as Manager of Programs & Client Services at the Canadian Livestock Genetics Association and 12 years as Manager of Administrative Services at the Wood Manufacturing Council. She's experienced in working with boards, staff and volunteers -- and with school boards and educators. She's also an active volunteer with the Rideau St. Lawrence Kings A/AA Minor Hockey Association and spent many years on the Board of the Kemptville Minor Hockey Association. I ask you, our community, to join me in welcoming her to the Campus.

Melissa’s role will be to coordinate the Campus financial operations, support our facilities manager, be the first point of contact with our tenants (current and prospective), respond to general inquiries, and provide administrative support to the staff and board.

Melissa can be reached at mlemay@kemptvillecampus.ca or by phone at 613-258-8336 Ext 243.

I am personally thrilled to have her join our team as we work to regenerate the former college campus into a thriving education and community centre. The rest of the staff team – Bruce Jackson and Terry Turcotte on facilities management, Patricia Rémillard on special projects (now part-time), and myself – look forward to engaging the community on Campus renewal and regeneration as COVID shutdowns recede in the rearview mirror and the not-far-off spring brings everything back to life!
